Recently, Arturia released yet another firmware update for the awesome MicroFreak synth - my first synth. It adds sample playback and some fun granular engines.

Here I'm messing around with the new presets that came with this huge new update. It really opens up even more sonic worlds for this freaky lil synth, as if it didn't already have enough potential inside it :)

There's zero fx or post-processing done. I recorded the MicroFreak straight into an old Zoom H1 field recorder, which is ok but not great. Then I uploaded the WAV files straight to Bandcamp. Just chuck 'em up there, mate.
